Richard’s paintings are created using multiple layers of acrylic paint on deep set wood panel frames. He often adds textured mediums to create interest and depth. However, sometimes his paintings are intentionally very smooth and sleek with the depth coming through in the photo-realistic details. All paintings are painted on the sides either with a solid color or as an extension of the painting itself. This gives the art a finished look without a frame while also providing dimension regardless of the angle at which you are viewing the painting. Although Richard’s original paintings do not need a frame due to painted sides and the depth of the wood panels, a few clients have chosen to frame in a floater style frame. The choice is completely yours!
