Most car lovers don’t like rust. They’ll stay away from it and hope it stays away from their cars! This car lover is fascinated by it!
One day Richard realized the layers, the colors, and the texture of auto oxidation are like abstract paintings. He made it his goal to capture photographs of rusty cars and trucks and then, rather than paint the entire rusted automobile, he narrows his view to a small area of the rusted steel and peeling paint and abstractly recreates it on canvas.
These oxidation paintings are perfect for anyone who loves abstract paintings and equally ideal for car lovers who, like Richard, enjoy all the nuances of auto oxidation!
